LOTTO Shapwanale, a twelve-year-old resident of the Okashiya village in the Otamanzi constituency of the Omusati Region, is receiving medical care in the Oshakati intermediate hospital after he allegedly fell off a moving vehicle on Monday.
The accident occurred at Okashiya village on the gravel road between Okahao town and Etilyasa village.
It is alleged that a silver Toyota Legend 45 double cab (N7329UP) was traveling on the gravel road from Okahao to Etilyasa when Shapwanale fell off the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to the Okahao district hospital but was later transferred to the Oshakati intermediate hospital for further medical attention.
The police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
A 56-year-old resident of the Okahao town was driving the vehicle and he is holder of a driver’s license.
