A 29-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested in Otjiwarongo following an alleged domestic violence incident in which her 32-year-old boyfriend sustained serious injuries after being struck on the head with a stone.
According to the police weekend crime report, the incident allegedly occurred at a house in an illegal settlement in Otjiwarongo.
According to the Namibian Police, the suspect and the victim were involved in a physical altercation when the woman allegedly hit the man on the right side of his head with a stone.
The victim sustained serious internal injuries and lost consciousness. He was transferred to Windhoek for further examination and treatment.
The suspect, a 29-year-old Namibian woman, was arrested and is facing a charge of attempted murder read with the Combating of Domestic Violence Act.
Police investigations are continuing.
