PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has a packed schedule in the north this weekend, with three major official openings lined up in the Ohangwena and Oshana regions.
This morning, the President is officially opening the Ohangwena Times Square Shopping Complex in the border town of Helao Nafidi.
Later this afternoon, still in Helao Nafidi, she will inaugurate sports facilities at the town’s Business Expo and Sports Centre.
The President’s northern engagements will continue on Sunday morning when she officiates at the official opening of the 25th edition of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair.
The trade fair, which started on Friday, runs until 29 August.
The back-to-back events highlight the government’s focus on infrastructure development, trade and sport in the northern regions.
