VICE President Lucia Witbooi will represent President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and will deliver her tribute at the Military Memorial Service of former minister Erkki Dineinge Nghidipohamba Nghimtina, which takes place at his traditional homestead in the Omahenge village, Ohangwena Region, on Friday.
In celebrating the life of the veteran of the liberation struggle, who served the nation as a parliamentarian and minister for close to three decades and who passed away earlier this month aged 78, Witbooi will be joined by two former heads of State — Presidents Nangolo Mbumba and Hifikepunye Pohamba — who will also deliver their tributes in a line-up that includes, among others, tributes from the SWAPO Party; the Sam Nujoma Foundation; the Association of Veterans; the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority; the Angolan Embassy in Namibia; and friends and comrades.
The burial will take place at the Eenhana Memorial Shrine on Saturday morning.
