LIMWENA Tuhafeni, a 46-year-old security guard, was on the Monday night shift at the Hakahana gas refill outlet at Onandjaba in the Omusati Region when unknown men allegedly launched a surprise attack at around 23:00.
The criminals allegedly threatened Tuhafeni with a pistol, covered his head with a hoodie, tied his legs with shoelaces and his arms with a cloth.
They then climbed the building and cut a hole in the roof, through which they entered the office, broke open the safe and stole a cash amount of N$22,551.
No one has been arrested yet, and the stolen money has not been recovered.
