THE Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) has announced its N$720,000 partnership with the CampOut Dune Festival, a one-day New Year’s Eve celebration taking place at the Dune Belt Amphitheatre in the Namibian Desert on 31 December.
The festival offers a unique desert camping adventure, with a well-curated selection of electronic and dance music DJs.
“The festival is a perfect choice for those looking to dance into the new year surrounded by nature’s beauty,” said Tim Ekandjo, MTC’s Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer.

According to him, this year’s event will once again offer three stages, endless energy, desert sunsets and dance floors that do not quit, with music that brings everyone together while celebrating under the stars and welcoming 2026 in the dunes.
The festival has become Namibia’s most significant and fastest-growing New Year’s festival, catering for all demographics.
“The event,” he said, “offers three stages: a main stage (commercial and crossover acts), the MTC Afropulse Amapiano Stage, and an underground house stage.”
Ekandjo expressed his excitement about partnering with the CampOut New Year’s Dune Festival, saying it allows for the celebration of Namibia’s beautiful scenery while at the same time marketing the country to the rest of the world.
“It is rare to find events taking place in the desert that give you an experience designed to feel natural, creative and free, with an absolute sense of desert serenity,” he remarked.
