PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has returned to Namibia following her participation in the 2025 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. She arrived at Keetmanshoop Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking briefly after landing, the President reflected on her visit, thanking South Africa for its leadership during the G20 chairmanship and expressing her gratitude to President Cyril Ramaphosa for inviting her to the high-level gathering.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah described the Summit as a valuable opportunity for Africa to speak with one voice on issues affecting the continent and its people. During the event, she called for a more inclusive, fair, and sustainable global financial system that recognises Africa’s growing economic role. She also urged enhanced global cooperation and transformative action to tackle climate change, reduce disaster risks, and strengthen food security.
