PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Eng. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs and Chief Executive Officer of QatarEnergy.
During the meeting, President Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed Al-Kaabi to Namibia and said that the country’s recent oil and gas discoveries present an opportunity to draw on Qatar’s extensive expertise in the global energy sector. She reaffirmed the strong and longstanding relations between the two nations, expressing appreciation for Qatar’s continued support in capacity building, its contribution to the PetroFund and its increasing investment in Namibia’s oil and gas industry.
Al-Kaabi thanked the President for the engagement and reiterated Qatar’s commitment to deepening its investment footprint in Namibia, particularly through partnerships with companies such as Shell and TotalEnergies.
