NAMWATER has announced a planned water supply interruption scheduled for Saturday, 28 June 2025, to facilitate the re-routing of a pipeline in Oshikuku town.
According to the utility, the interruption will last for eight hours, from 08:00 to 15:00, and is part of ongoing efforts to improve water supply services in the area.
The areas expected to be affected include Oshikuku town, Elim, Ondjungulume, and Onkani village.
NamWater has urged all affected communities to store sufficient water in advance to last through the full duration of the interruption.
Essential service providers, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and police stations, experiencing critical supply needs are encouraged to contact the following NamWater officials for assistance:

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance and appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation of all stakeholders as we work to enhance service delivery,” NamWater said in a statement.
