COLD MONDAY

COLD MONDAY: Temperatures have plummeted across various parts of the country, leaving many areas from central to southern Namibia covered in frost. Several locations in the Khomas Region, including Seeis, as well as Windhoek and its surrounding areas, recorded temperatures ranging from -1°C to -7°C early this morning. However, it was not only the Khomas Region that experienced sub-zero temperatures. The eastern, western, and southern parts of the country also endured an exceptionally cold Monday morning. In fact, Omitara in the Omaheke Region recorded a low of -8.7°C. Okahandja, in the Otjozondjupa Region, registered -4.3°C, while Omaruru in the Erongo Region reached -1°C. In the Hardap Region, Stampriet, Mariental, and Gochas all recorded temperatures of -1°C. The south has also seen some rainfall, with showers reported at the Fish River Canyon on Sunday.
