THE Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) has appointed Romeo Muyunda as the new Manager for Communication.
His appointment became effective on 1 March 2025.
EIF Chief Executive Officer Benedict Libanda said Muyunda has led communications and public relations units at the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, as well as at the Ministry of Education.

Muyunda brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over 15 years in the field of communications and has consistently been regarded as a top-performing communicator from the initial stages of his career to date.
“Undoubtedly, Muyunda is tried and tested. The EIF is proud to be associated with such an achiever. We are confident that, given his ability, Muyunda will play a pivotal role in advancing the goals and objectives of the Fund,” he said.
He explained that the Fund has an overall mandate to raise financial resources for investment in environmental protection, natural resource management, maintenance of biological diversity and ecosystem activities, and projects that support the sustainable economic development of Namibia.
Libanda said that, in their view, this aligns with the aspirations that Muyunda represents, having demonstrated his passion and commitment to environmental preservation through his time at the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism.
Muyunda holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies and sociology. He is currently enrolled in a postgraduate diploma in management at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
