TWO male residents of Olyasiti village in the Tsandi constituency of the Omusati Region were remanded in custody when they made their first court appearance in the Okahao Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on charges of rape and assault by threatening.
Nicodemus Junias (19) and Awala Johannes (23) were arrested recently after they allegedly raped a 39-year-old woman.
It is alleged that the two accused grabbed the victim, pulled her to a place behind a shebeen at the Omandoloma location, threatened her with a knife, and raped her.
The case was postponed to the 4th of June for further police investigation, and no bail was granted.
