Several areas experienced rain showers over the past week, with more intense showers expected across multiple regions, from north to south, on Monday.
According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, moderate to heavy rainfall, with the potential for flash floods, is forecast for parts of the Kunene, Erongo, Khomas, Omaheke, and Hardap regions.
The Namibia Meteorological Services also predicted that parts of the //Kharas Region, such as Keetmanshoop, are likely to receive rain on Monday, while dust storms are anticipated along the southern coast on the same day.
Several areas across the country have already recorded light to moderate showers over the weekend. These include Windhoek in the Khomas Region, Karibib in the Erongo Region, as well as Okahandja and Otavi in the Otjozondjupa Region, among others.
Many social media users shared photos and videos of the rain in their respective areas, including striking images of the Ugab River, which has come to life following the past week’s rainfall.
