NAMIBIANS have a party and a leader ready to govern Namibia for the next five years and lead the country to greater heights of unity, peace, and prosperity.
This was according to President Nangolo Mbumba, a member of the SWAPO Party, who spoke during the party’s star rally held in Khorixas.
According to Mbumba, the entire nation should believe that in SWAPO and Comrade Nandi-Ndaitwah, they have a party and a leader prepared to govern them.

“Since independence, thanks in part to the experienced, knowledgeable, and mature leadership of SWAPO, our nation has remained united! Unity is extremely important because there is no development without unity,” he said.
He added that no matter which tribe, ethnicity, or race one belongs to, under SWAPO, they are a Namibian.
Mbumba emphasized that there can be no peace or development if they are not united, if they allow apartheid and tribalism to return through the back door. If that happens, then they are lost.
He further said that, even if people are from Khorixas, Opuwo, Omusati, Otjozondjuba, //Kharas, Zambezi, or Kavango East/West, they are one people who may speak different dialects, but they are all Namibians.
“All SWAPO Party Councilors, Ministers, and civil servants are obliged to serve all Namibians regardless of their ethnicity, region, gender, political, or religious affiliation. That’s how we have maintained and will continue to maintain the unity of the Namibian people,” he added.
The President further indicated that SWAPO remains committed to the motto that “a healthy nation is a strong, capable, and happy nation.”
Therefore, the SWAPO Party-led government spent nearly N$10 million in 2023 to construct and upgrade primary healthcare clinics in the Kunene Region, at Oroutumba, and completed repairs at the Opuwo and Khorixas hospitals.
In addition to these developments, Mbumba said that other renovations and upgrades of various health facilities have taken place across the region.
