THE Namibian police in the Omusati Region have arrested a 26-year-old suspect in connection with a recent incident in which a minor girl was allegedly abducted and raped.
The police identified the victim as a 13-year-old female resident of the Etayi village in the Etayi constituency.
It was during the afternoon when the suspect allegedly forcibly pulled the victim into his sleeping room, raped her and then locked her inside until sunset.
The incident was reported to the police by the victim’s biological mother, who resides in a distant village but in the same region.
