A 52-YEAR-OLD man allegedly stabbed his 55-year-old brother to death during an argument over offering transport on Thursday.
Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku said the incident occurred around 20:20 at Otilindi location, Onoonga – Oshigambo village of Oshikoto’s Oniipa Constituency.
According to Kalompo-Nashikaku, it is alleged that the suspect and the victim were at Oonyenti’s location, where the suspect started confronting the deceased about why he failed to offer him transport.
She said the deceased then left for another location at Otilindi.
“The suspect followed the deceased to Otilindi’s location, where he stabbed the victim once with a knife on the left side of his chest,” she said.
She added that the deceased was subsequently taken to Onandjokwe Hospital for medical attention, but he passed away before reaching there.
Kalompo-Nashikaku identified the deceased as Simon Petrus.
The instrument used, a knife, was recovered, and the suspect has been arrested.
