A 51-year-old man was fatally attacked by an oryx on Tuesday, 1st August, while he was engaged in illegal hunting at Farm Seeis, Khomas Region.
The police identified the deceased as Hendrik Kharuxab. The police revealed that he was one of two men hunting illegally at Farm Seeis. The police further confirmed that the oryx also died after killing the man.
The other suspect, a 33-year-old man, was taken to the police station while the owner’s cooperation was awaited to open a case.
The deceased’s next of kin has been informed. Police investigations continue.
