A 28-YEAR-OLD woman, identified as Auguste Ndemupandula Jonas, died over the past weekend after she was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Otjiwarongo, in the Otjozondjupa Region.
According to the Media Liaison Officer of the Namibian Police, Inspector Raimbert Muronga, the murder incident happened on Sunday,19 March 2023, at about 20:45 at Telecom location.
It is alleged that the suspect stabbed his girlfriend all over the body with a kitchen knife and she died instantly.
It’s further alleged that the deceased was found with another man in the bedroom and the argument erupted between the suspect and deceased as a result.
The deceased’s remains were transported to the Otjiwarongo State Mortuary, pending autopsy and the victims next of kin has been informed.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in the Otjiwarongo Magistrate Court today, 20 March 2023. Police investigations continue.
