A STILL-UNKNOWN driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene of accident where a teenager pedestrian was hit and killed while crossing the road Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred at Okapya on the Ondangwa-Ongwediva main road at around 23:00.
It is alleged that a blue VW Golf, with the registration number N16957S, was driving from the direction of Ondangwa when it hit an 18-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road.
He died on the spot.
The unknown driver fled the scene leaving the vehicle at the scene.
“We will trace the driver soon,” said the police.
