HUNDREDS of people armed with cameras, video recorders and even drones were from early morning on Wednesday gathered at the mouth of the Swakop River to capture the very rare sight of the water breaking through to the Atlantic Ocean.
The last time this occurred, was in April 2011.
With more rain expected in catchment areas, people are urged to be vigilant at all times and not take any risks by crossing rivers in flood.
