SUICIDES continues to haunt to haunt Namibia in spite of special pleas by traditional-, religious-, and political leadership to communities to be alert and attentive of those that suffers signs of depression and long spells of non-communication with loved ones.
The Okalenga community is the latest in mourning the loss of the unexplained death of Johannes Uungwanga(28) whose body was discovered hanging from a tree in the Onakali area.
Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Armas Shivute, said the deceased left no suicide note, and no foulplay is being suspected.
However, Shivute stated that a docket of inquest was opened with the Okatope police.
“The deceased body was transported to Onandjokwe state hospital for the postmortem to be conducted.
