TWO 13-year-old boys have been accused of raping other young boys in the Oshana Region this week.
The rape incidents happened on Monday and Tuesday in the Oshakati and Ondangwa areas respectively, with the Oshana police since opening two cases of rape on behalf of the victims.
Oshana Community Affairs officer, Warrant Frieda Shikole, said one of the rape accused is on the run after raping a nine-year-old boy at Okiimba village in the area of Ondangwa on Tuesday.
Shikole added that the incident happened around 16:00.
“It is alleged that the victim was on his way home when the suspect grabbed him and raped him,” she said.
In Omaalala B, the police are also investigating a case of rape after another seven-year-old boy was also raped by a 13-year-old boy on Monday afternoon.
Shikole explained that the matter was reported to the police by the suspect’s grandmother.
Police investigations in both matters continue.
