THE Namibian police in the Oshana Region have opened an inquest docket after the body of 26-year-old Johannes Matias Nadhipite, who had been out drinking, was found in water.
Police Community Affairs Officer, Warrant Frieda Shikole, said the discovery was made on Tuesday around 08h00 at the Oneshoko village, Ondangwa area.
“The deceased was last seen on Monday at Okankete location few meters from where he drowned while under the influence of alcohol,” said Shikole.
Shikole indicated that no foul play is suspected, and the body was transported to the Oshakati police mortuary.
Police investigations continue.
