A WOMAN is facing an attempted murder charge after she stabbed a 37-year-old man with a kitchen knife in the back after the man reportedly slapped her in the face.
The incident happened early this morning between 03:00 and 04:00 at the Sixty Location at Outjo.
The knife was stuck in the man’s back, who had to be taken to the Outjo state hospital for treatment before he was transferred to the Windhoek hospital for further medical attention.
In an unrelated rape case, a 40-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after he lured a seven-year-old girl to his room with sweets with the intention to sexually abuse her.
The rape incident on Saturday at around 18:00 reportedly happened at farm Katjapia in the Ovitoto district.
Police investigations into the matter continues.
