THE Namibian Police in Bethanie arrested a 20-year-old man after he was accused of raping a one-year-old baby girl.
According to the incident report provided by the Public Relations Division of the Namibian Police, both the suspect and the victim were taken to the local hospital in order for DNA evidence to be collected after the man was arrested.
The incident occurred o Friday night at about 23:50 at a house in the Riverside Location of Bethanie while the mother of the little girl was out for the evening.
It is alleged that the suspect was seen sneaking into the bedroom where the baby was sleeping. He was caught red-handed and arrested shortly afterward.
A 22-year-old Angolan national who is employed as a domestic worker at a house in the Ehafo Village near Okongo was arrested after he raped a 14-year-old girl during the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to the incident report, the suspect entered the bedroom of his young victim where he started raping her while she was still asleep.
The Police in Walvis Bay are looking for a man who has been accused of raping an 18-year-old girl repeatedly over the past few weeks.
According to the incident report, the latest attack on the girl occurred on Wednesday evening. The victim told investigating officers that the man who is a family member has been raping her on several occasions since the start of April.
The incident report states that the man fled the scene of the crime after his last attack. He is yet to be arrested.
