THE long-serving secretary of the Okatope Junior Secondary School in the Ohangwena Region, Victoria Hauwanga who passed away on 4 February, was laid to rest at Okelemba village on Saturday.
It is said that she felt unwell and died shortly after she was admitted in the Engela district hospital.
The 55-year-old was an institutional worker at the school since 1988 and was simultaneously a lay preacher at the local Lutheran parish.
Memorial services were held at the school and at her residence on Thursday and Friday respectively.
She was described as very polite and friendly to both the learners and the teachers.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Hauwanga, and three children.
