A MAN who attempted to kill his wife by stabbing her with a knife on Christmas Eve at the Lubinda village has been arrested by the Namibian police.
A case of attempted murder, read with the provisions of the Combating of Domestic Violence Act, was opened against the 33-year-old man after he was apprehended by the police.
According to the crime report provided by the Namibian Police’s Public Relations Division, the attempted murder of the 33-year-old wife occurred around 23:00 on Christmas Eve in the Luhonono area.
“The husband allegedly stabbed and seriously wounded the wife,” said the police.
In another violent crime incident, a 33-year-old woman sustained serious injuries on her left leg and back shoulder after she was stabbed with a knife by a 27-year-old man at Katope.
According to the police, a case of assault, read with the provisions of the Combating of Domestic Violence Act, has been opened.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
