THE 45-year-old Eino Kondjeni Nampala, a member of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF), died on the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday afternoon on the road between Karibib and Okahandja.

According to the incident report provided by the Namibian Police in the Erongo Region, the crash occurred when Nampala, who was the driver of the vehicle and two other members of the NDF were travelling in, lost control over the vehicle.

“The bakkie in which the three persons were travelling left the road and hit a culvert, which caused it to veer further from the road until it eventually struck a tree. Nampala sustained severe injuries and passed away on the scene,” the report reads.
