THE man facing multiple charges of rape, immoral practices, child trafficking and indecent assault after reportedly coercing minors into pornographic practices will have to return to court in December.
Johann Maree, 49, briefly appeared in court last Friday.
He is also accused of selling the pornographic content involving the said children online.
State Prosecutor Sylvia Kauluma informed him that investigations are still ongoing.
The victims’ statements have, however, all been taken.
At the last court appearance in May, 14 child victims were identified and 12 more children had to be traced.
The accused person also faces charges relating to the Prevention of Organised Crime Act, as well as the Child Protection Act.
This pertains to the alleged employment of minors for purposes of commercial sexual exploitation.
