THE Okakarara Vocational Training Center this week resumed its face-to-face classes, with all the necessary safety measures which include temperature reading, hand sanitizing, detail recording and mask wearing by all the trainees.
Penson Mootu, the Center’s Manager, said that they have been given a green light by the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) to resume classes.
According to Mootu, provisions of portable water and hostel distancing are also being observed due to the regulations that they are required to follow.
Mootu noted that the NTA has planned multiple layers of contingency, which include appropriate arrangements for service continuity as the situation evolves.
“The students have lost a lot due to the closing of VTCs and the suspension of training. We are hoping that they will complete their studies this year and make up for lost time,” said Mootu.
