A SPIRITED Zambia beat the Brave Warriors with two goals to none and lifted the Dr Hage Geingob Cup at the end of the friendly match in the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek earlier on Saturday.

The two countries met in this annual international match honouring Namibia’s President Dr. Hage Geingob for the sixth year running and it is the first time that the Chipololo were able to take the cup across the border.
Both goals for the Zambian team were scored by Emmanuel Chaluba the first in the dying seconds of the first half and the second from a missed pass.

The Brave Warriors recently qualified for the 2020 Chan finals to be played in Cameroon in January.

Namibia will take on Chad on Wednesday at the same venue where they suffered the defeat against Zambia for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Warriors are set to travel north for the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2021 qualifiers at Guinea on 17 November 2019.
