Govt avails N$19 mil for Brave Warriors’ AFCON games

THE Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service has allocated a staggering N$19 million to the Namibia Football Association (NFA) in preparations for the Brave Warriors’ upcoming AFCON appearance.

Chief Administrator of the Namibia Sport Commission, Freddy Mwiya, confirmed the amount, stating that the money will cater for the players and technical staff qualification bonuses, winning bonuses, appearance fees and other related logistics during the AFCON campaign.

Namibia will make its third appearance at the 32 edition of the AFCON tournament that will take place from 21 June until 19 July in Egypt.

Namibia is grouped against Morocco, South Africa and Ivory Coast.
