POLICE are investigating a series of housebreaking and theft cases reported in Wanaheda, Mariental, Katutura and Ndama, with stolen property and cash valued at more than N$123,000 reported across the incidents.
According to the Namibian Police weekend crime report, in Wanaheda, an unknown suspect allegedly broke a padlock at a property in Hakahana on Friday and stole a security guard uniform, two magazines loaded with 10 rounds each, a black pistol holder, two cooler boxes and N$3,500 in cash.
The stolen items are estimated to be worth N$21,000. Police investigations are ongoing.
In Mariental, a house was allegedly broken into. The suspect allegedly broke the door to gain entry and stole property valued at N$63,300. No items have been recovered and no arrest has been made. Police investigations continue.
In Katutura, an unknown suspect allegedly opened the main gate of a house in on Friday entered the yard and removed the complainant’s motor gate, valued at N$12,000.
Police are investigating the matter.
In Ndama, Kavango East Region, a suspect allegedly used an unknown object to break the lock of a house on Saturday, before entering and stealing property valued at N$10,999.99.
The stolen property has not been recovered and no arrest has been made. Police investigations in the matter continue.
