THE Windhoek City Police have recovered a laptop stolen from Nanodog and arrested one suspect. Another suspect has been identified, and the business thanked officers for tracking down those responsible.
Nanodog, which had offered a N$10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the laptop and the arrest of those responsible, said the officers involved declined the reward.
According to Nanodog, the officers independently investigated the theft and managed to identify and apprehend one of the suspects before the company could provide them with a lead.
The business said the officers made it clear that they were simply carrying out their duty to protect the community.
As a gesture of appreciation, Nanodog said it will sponsor refreshments and other items for Windhoek City Police Day on 18 November 2026.
“We will be handing out some cold drinks and goodies to the hardworking men and women who put their safety on the line every day to keep our streets and community safer,” the business said.
The laptop theft was initially reported by Nanodog on social media, where the company offered the N$10,000 reward for information that could lead to the recovery of the laptop and the identification and arrest of the suspects.
The business has since thanked the City of Windhoek Police for their efforts in recovering the laptop and bringing the investigation to a conclusion.
