CALEB Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Nigeria’s Plateau State, will deliver goodwill remarks at the official opening of the Olufuko Cultural Festival, adding an international dimension to this year’s celebrations.
The festival runs from Monday until 1 September in Outapi.
Governor Mutfwang will be accompanied by the Plateau State Cultural Troupe, which will showcase the richness and diversity of African cultural expression.
According to organisers, the Nigerian delegation will also take part in an exclusive engagement with representatives of traditional authorities, government officials, business leaders and other invited guests.
The engagements aim to strengthen cultural, economic and institutional cooperation between the two regions.
In addition to participating in the 2026 Olufuko Annual Cultural Festival, the delegation will visit selected agricultural and tourism sites across the Omusati Region. They will be hosted by Omusati Regional Governor Immanuel Shikongo.
The visits are expected to explore opportunities for knowledge exchange, tourism promotion and broader collaboration between Omusati and Plateau State.
