JACKSON Amadhila Johannes, a 35-year-old resident of Eemwandi village in the Tsandi Constituency of the Omusati Region, has committed suicide after allegedly informing his housemates that he was hearing voices commanding him to take a rope and hang himself.
He was last seen alive on Thursday before midnight, and his body was found hanging from a tree on Friday afternoon.
His next of kin were informed.
Also in the Omusati Region, a 44-year-old male resident of Iipandahangano village in the Outapi Constituency was stabbed to death on Friday evening.
The incident occurred in the Etalaleko location at around 20:30.
It is alleged that the 26-year-old suspect used a knife to stab the victim in the chest, killing him instantly.
Commissioner Ismael Basson, the police regional commander, said that what led to the stabbing is not yet known.
