THE late Romin Tsuses, a five-year-old girl from Sweet Valley, Okahandja, who tragically passed away on 22 July 2026 after suffering what is believed to be severe malnutrition, was laid to rest today in Okahandja.
Days before the burial, August 26 Logistics, a subsidiary of the August 26 Group of Companies, provided humanitarian assistance to the Tsuses family by donating groceries and other essential household items to help ease their burden during a difficult time.
The donation forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, which seeks to support vulnerable individuals, families and communities across Namibia. Through initiatives such as these, August 26 Logistics continues to demonstrate that responsible business extends beyond commercial success by standing with communities in times of need.

Speaking during the memorial service held at the Tsuses family residence, Martin Tomas, Public Relations Officer for the August 26 Group of Companies, said the passing of young Romin had deeply touched the hearts of many Namibians and reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to serving communities with compassion.
“The passing of young Romin is a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges that some families continue to face. As the August 26 Group of Companies, we believe that corporate responsibility goes beyond business. It is about standing with communities, showing compassion and offering support during their most difficult moments. While no act can erase the pain of losing a loved one, we hope our assistance brought some comfort to the Tsuses family during this difficult time,” said Tomas.
