THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region are seeking public assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a man identified as Hitukwa Rafael Wakolele (29), who has gone missing with his mother’s Jetour motor vehicle.
According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula of the Erongo Police, it is alleged that on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at about 13:43 in Ocean View, Swakopmund, the missing person left the house and never returned after his mother gave him her red Jetour, with registration number N555RC, to take to the car wash in Mondesa.
It is further alleged that he was texting his mother, but when she called him, he did not answer his phone. It is also alleged that on Sunday, 26 July 2026, at about 07:28, and on Monday, 27 July 2026, at about 08:46, messages were sent from his cellphone to his mother, quoting as follows: “Mom, don’t worry. Your car is still safe. I will come home soon,” but to no avail. It is further alleged that his cellphone has since been switched on and off without being answered when called.
He is 1.75 metres tall, with a slender build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a Red Bulls hoodie jacket with a white floppy hat and a white tracksuit.
