Nandi-Ndaitwah pays tribute to late Namibian ally Vasilije Bošković

PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has paid tribute to the late Vasilije Bošković, a Serbian engineer, diplomat and long-standing friend of Namibia, following a condolence visit to his family.

During the visit to Mrs Draga Bošković and the Bošković family, Nandi-Ndaitwah conveyed condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Namibia, honouring Bošković’s contribution to Namibia’s liberation struggle, national development and the longstanding friendship between Namibia and Serbia.

Bošković served as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Namibia to Serbia for more than two decades, from 2002 to 2024, during which he played a role in strengthening diplomatic relations and promoting cooperation between the two countries.

Nandi-Ndaitwah recognised his dedication to fostering mutual understanding and partnership between Namibia and Serbia, describing his service as a lasting contribution to bilateral relations.

She expressed Namibia’s gratitude for Bošković’s lifelong commitment and said the friendship and cooperation between the two nations would continue to honour his legacy.
