Four suicide cases reported across Omuntele, Onyaanya, Kapako and Kalkrand

FOUR suicide incidents were reported in different parts of the country over the weekend, involving three men and one woman aged between 27 and 49, with police confirming that no foul play is suspected in any of the cases.

According to the police weekend crime report, in Omuntele, Oshikoto Region, a 49-year-old woman was found dead on Friday at Onambango Village, Omuntele area, after she allegedly hanged herself with a wire in her bedroom. According to police, the victim was discovered by her mother. No suicide note was left behind, and the next of kin have been informed.

In a separate incident in Okatope, Onyaanya area, a 45-year-old man was found dead on Saturday at Omutse Village after he allegedly hanged himself from a tree using a rope. No suicide note was found, and no foul play is suspected. His next of kin have been informed.

In Kavango West, at Siyandeya Village in Kapako Constituency, a 27-year-old man was found dead on Saturday after he allegedly hanged himself with a rope inside his bedroom. Police confirmed that no foul play is suspected and no suicide note was left. The next of kin have been informed.

In a fourth incident, a 28-year-old man was found dead on Saturday evening at Donkerhoek, Kalkrand in the Mariental District, after he allegedly hanged himself with a rope in a toilet. No foul play or suicide note was reported, and his next of kin have been notified.

Police investigations are continuing in all four cases.
