UPDATE: Giano Seibeb (29), a Namibian man diagnosed with schizophrenia who was arrested for breaching security and intruding into the presidential residence (State House) in Windhoek while naked on 30 April 2026, has been found unfit to stand trial. Seibeb appeared in court, where State Prosecutor Tjiramuina Rutjindo stated that Seibeb requires the assistance of a legal representative. “Case law dictates that the accused must be legally represented,” Rutjindo said. The prosecutor further requested that Seibeb be transferred to the Gobabis Correctional Facility, after it was found that the Windhoek Correctional Facility does not have the capacity to detain Seibeb given his mental health challenges.
