THREE men. One journey. One powerful purpose. From Pretoria to Windhoek, three cyclists took to the long road to raise awareness for amputee resilience, mobility and second chances.
These three heroes, who call themselves ‘Die Drie Ou Ballies’, started cycling in Pretoria from Bossa Castle Walk on 16 May, all in aid of the Orthocross Amputee Foundation. The Three Ou Ballies saddled up for a 2,000km ride from Bossa Castle Walk in Pretoria to Bossa Windhoek. This ride is not about the kilometres; it is about getting businesses to partner with the Orthocross Foundation to sponsor Orthocross amputee patients and change lives every single day.
The foundation empowers amputees through support, resources and access to prosthetic care.
They arrived amidst great fanfare at the Bossa Castle Walk in the capital just after 15:00 this afternoon.
