THREE men died after being involved in a motor vehicle accident in Otjinene.
According to the weekend crime bulletin, the incident of culpable homicide happened on Friday, 8 May 2026, around 14:00 on the Omitara–Otjinene road (C29). It is alleged that three Namibian males, aged 32, 38, and one of unknown age, died at the scene of a fatal rollover crash near Otjinene.
It is alleged that the incident occurred when a rear tyre of a minibus burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then veered off the road and rolled several times. Among the fifteen occupants, several passengers sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and were transported to the Otjinene State Clinic for treatment. The deceased’s next of kin have been informed, and police investigations are ongoing.
