After a weekend of widespread heavy rain, rainfall has persisted in various parts of the country, further contributing to already flooded areas.
The south continued to receive notable rainfall. This includes Welbedacht in the Hardap Region, which recorded 50 mm of rain between Sunday and Monday morning, as well as Maltahöhe, Randwüste and Mariental—also in the Hardap Region—which recorded 26 mm, 30 mm and 15 mm of rain respectively during the same period.

Meanwhile, in the Omaheke Region, Gobabis recorded 27 mm between Sunday and Monday morning, while Poortje near Gobabis recorded 40 mm of rain during the same period. In the Otjozondjupa Region, Otjiwarongo and Otavi also experienced rainfall, each recording around 20 mm.
The Khomas Region also experienced steady rainfall, with Windhoek reporting persistent showers and some areas affected by hailstorms on Monday afternoon. Onverwacht, near Dordabis, recorded 21 mm between Sunday and Monday morning.
Additional rainfall is expected in several parts of the country. Members of the public are urged to remain cautious, especially when travelling, and to avoid crossing flooded areas.
