CRICKET Namibia has wrapped up a competitive home series against Uganda in Windhoek, with the FNB Eagles delivering a largely dominant performance across both T20 and 50-over formats, while using the matches as key preparation for upcoming international fixtures. With momentum on their side, the Eagles will now shift focus to their upcoming tri-series preparations, including two additional warm-up matches against Scotland on 28 and 30 March in Windhoek.
The tour, held from 18 to 25 March, featured three T20 matches and two 50-over encounters, offering Namibia valuable game time ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series against Scotland and Oman, scheduled for early April in Windhoek.

Namibia opened the series on a strong note on 18 March, securing an eight-wicket victory after restricting Uganda to 131/9 and comfortably chasing down the target. However, Uganda bounced back the following day with a seven-wicket win, chasing 137 with ease to level the T20 leg of the series.
The hosts regained control on 21 March, producing a commanding all-round performance as Namibia posted 169/6 before bowling Uganda out for just 71 to seal a 98-run victory.
In the 50-over format, Namibia delivered a dominant display on 23 March, amassing 303/8 before dismissing Uganda for 130 to claim a convincing 173-run win. The final match, scheduled for 25 March, was abandoned due to rain, cutting short what had been a one-sided contest with Uganda struggling at 53/4.
Overall, the Eagles showed depth and consistency across formats, with the series serving as an important build-up to the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 matches. The 50-over fixtures, in particular, provided crucial preparation as Namibia gears up to face Scotland and Oman from 2 to 12 April.
The Namibian squad for the upcoming tri-series includes JJ Smit (captain), Gerhard Erasmus, Max Heingo, Bernard Scholtz, Jan Frylinck, Dylan Leicher, William Lottering, Zacheo Jansen van Vuuren, Malan Kruger, Ben Shikongo, Ruben Trumpelmann, Jack Brassell, Zane Green, WP Myburgh and Louren Steenkamp.
