Naomi Fisch appears in court for second drug offence

Staff Reporter

REHOBOTH Drug-dealing accused Naomi Fisch, 31, appeared in the Rehoboth Magistrate Court and was remanded in custody.

Fisch’s 35-day short-lived freedom came to an end when she was re-arrested on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, for possession of cocaine and cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal activity.

Today’s appearance at the Rehoboth Magistrate Court follows Fisch being granted bail on 11 February 2026 by Magistrate Wilka Amalwa after her first arrest in connection with 200 grams of cannabis and N$154,000 in money laundering in the small southern town. She was initially arrested alongside her boyfriend, Steve Schneiders, Revilo Diergaardt, and Dylan Vrieslaar.

In the new case, it is alleged that Fisch gave permission to undercover police officers to search her residence in Block F of Rehoboth. She faces two counts, which include contravention of Act 41 of 1971, Section 2(c)(1) – dealing in dangerous dependence-producing drugs – and money laundering charges related to the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA), Act 29 of 2004.

After a body search, Fisch allegedly removed suspected crack cocaine and cocaine powder from the pants she was wearing.

The confiscated items include six doses of suspected cocaine powder, 26 units of crack cocaine, and N$6,320 believed to be proceeds of crime.

The drugs are valued at N$5,600.

The state objected to the granting of bail due to the seriousness of the offence, the strength of the state’s case, Fisch’s propensity to reoffend, and public interest. Fisch indicated that she would be acquiring the services of a private lawyer.

The case was postponed to 15 July 2026 for further investigations.
