THE Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture has launched a regional education outreach programme aimed at providing learners with information on tertiary education opportunities, admission requirements and available government support.
The outreach programme began with visits to learners at Himarwa Ithete Secondary School and Simanya Combined School in the Kavango West Region.

According to the ministry, the initiative will engage learners, parents, teachers and community members to provide guidance on subsidised tertiary education, career pathways and admission requirements for institutions of higher learning.
The outreach campaign will run until 19 March 2026 and will also extend to the Kavango East and Zambezi regions.
The ministry said the programme forms part of its efforts to ensure that no learner is left behind when it comes to accessing education opportunities.
The ministry is conducting the outreach together with several institutions, including the Namibia Qualifications Authority, the Namibia University of Science and Technology, the University of Namibia, the Namibia Training Authority, the International University of Management and Welwitschia University.
