ASSER Nendongo, also known as Boykie, who was arrested for allegedly shooting Windhoek bouncer David Mbinda (39) during a physical altercation last Friday night in Wanaheda, Windhoek, made his first court appearance at the Katutura Magistrate’s Court today.
Nendongo (30) faces a single charge of murder. He is represented by private lawyer Gehas Katoma, who was standing in for Kadhila Amoomo.
The matter was postponed to 18 March for a formal bail application and to 21 May for further police investigations.
It is alleged that Mbinda and Nendongo became involved in a dispute after Nendongo allegedly refused to pay a N$30 entrance fee to enter the local chill spot, and that the altercation turned physical, during which Nendongo reportedly fired a single shot at Mbinda’s face.
