PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah attended the African Union Pre-Summit Prayer Breakfast at the invitation of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, with leaders and faith representatives using the platform to reflect on Africa’s future and the role of faith communities in promoting ethical leadership and sustainable water governance.
The gathering took place ahead of the official opening of the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union in Addis Ababa. Organised by the African Union Christian Fellowship, the event brought together Heads of State and Government, diplomats, church leaders and partners in a spirit of prayer, unity and reflection.
Discussions highlighted the important role of faith communities in fostering ethical leadership, responsible stewardship of creation and sustainable water governance, while reinforcing the continent’s shared commitment to the vision of “The Africa We Want.”
