A 13-YEAR-OLD boy narrowly escaped death after he was stabbed in the neck during an attempted robbery involving two underage boys and an 18-year-old at Long Beach on New Year’s Eve.
According to the weekend crime report, three suspects, aged 17, 17 and 18, were arrested in connection with the incident that occurred at about 17:00 while the victim was walking along the beach. It is alleged that he was approached by three male suspects who searched him and demanded that he hand over everything in his pockets. When the victim refused, the suspects allegedly assaulted him by punching him in the face and stabbing him with an unknown sharp object on the left side of his neck and above his left eye.
The boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack. Police said no property was stolen during the incident, and police investigations are ongoing.
